Lots Happening!

A real flurry of activity is going on and it’s difficult to know where to start – not to mention the filtering of stuff that is top secret at the moment.

We are in collaboration with Djanolgy City Academy, Nottingham, namely Nigel Akers, Vice Principle of the institution.

Starting from the beginning I met Nigel when one of the Common Purpose modules was held at Djanolgy City Academy. Like all city academies Djanogly runs Diploma courses and Nigel is the Nottingham City lead on the IT Diploma.

For anyone not familiar with the new City Academies – City Academies incorporate ‘live’ business interaction and challenges, offering students not only the invaluable opportunity to experience life in the work a day world but the chance to create innovative solutions to real problems faced by local businesses. The rich insights and perspectives achieved blaze a trail for future budding entrepreneurs.

Returning to my story spying the prospect for a mutually beneficial partnership I mooted the idea of a business challenge from GWO to Nigel. Our needs were for a Media Strategy with a fresh outlook and perception. We felt that bright creative young minds will present a refreshing new viewpoint for us.

Nigel took up the gauntlet with gusto and the Strategy is in process.  The students are amazingly well infromed.

I'll keep you posted on the progress…..
