Giving World is really pleased to be working jointly with the Lincolnshire Waste Partnership to provide businesses across Lincolnshire with a free service to redirect their unwanted goods into local communities.

The Lincolnshire Waste Partnership (LWP) comprises senior representatives from all 8 Local Authorities and the Environment Agency. At their last meeting in December, all members unanimously voted to actively support and promote the introduction of Giving World Online in each Lincolnshire District.

Some of the activities planned for the coming year include local press releases, information on all Council websites and regular newsletter updates.

Councillor Lewis Strange, Chair of the LWP said: "A major challenge for the partnership is to reduce the amount of waste Lincolnshire sends to landfill. Our aim is to deliver sustainable waste management services to the community and actively recommending Giving World Online to local companies and community groups is another step in the right direction."

Sujata Bhalla, Director at Giving World said: "We look forward to working with Lincolnshire County Council and the 7 District Councils to build strong relationships with businesses and charities in the region over the coming months. With 15% of children in Lincolnshire living in poverty, we hope to not only reduce waste to landfill but also help local communities access the basic life essentials they need."
