Giving World Online aids better facilities at New Parks Boxing Gym

Opus Trust Marketing, the transactional mailing and customer communications company, registered through www.givingworldonline.com to offer surplus items which included metal cabinets, A4 paper and children’s books. The company has received a number of accolades for their commitment to environmental best practice.

A children’s boxing gym run by volunteers in a deprived ward of Leicester took up the offer of the metal cabinets and the paper.

Grant Lush, Head of Marketing and Client Services at Opus Trust Marketing said: “The idea of Giving World Online is great for any business with quality surplus items that they wish to dispose of. It is free of charge, is very easy to use and has helped us redirect surplus items to people and organisations who can benefit. We have a strong commitment to actively reducing our environmental impact and this is another way we can work to achieve this goal. I would recommend the service to other businesses as an ethical way to reduce waste.”

Serina Leanne from New Parks Community Boxing Gym said: “For a small voluntary project like ours the donation makes a big difference. We don’t have any disposable income to pay for items like this so the donation from Opus Trust Marketing through Giving World Online means we can offer better facilities for the children and young people who use the gym.”
