news > 26/06/2014 - Global Communications Company UBM & Giving World partner to Fight Poverty

Facilities Show 2014

UBM asked Giving World to partner with them to fight poverty, protect the environment and help advance the Facilities Management profession. We didn't need to be asked twice. It's been a fantastic opportunity, and a wonderful few days of meeting people.

The Facilities Show is the largest gathering of facilities management professionals, and provides a forum for the industry to keep up to date with the latest issues and challenges in their industry.

Which is perfect for us as we source most of the goods for distribution to our charity partners from the wonderful facilities managers we work with up and down the country. They are true heroes, who have helped us save 450,245 items from landfill distributing it to 276,083 vulnerable people in the UK. Meanwhile saving more than 1,178 tonnes of CO2e emissions. Fantastic work!

Over and above meeting some amazing committed people, we also enjoyed the cable car that took us to the ExCeL centre every morning.
